We Walk by Faith… Not by Sight
At Curt Landry Ministries we believe that we walk by faith in God and not just by sight. Still, we know that this is easier said than done at times. All too often it is our lack of faith that keeps us from experiencing a life filled with victory.
So many times, we as Believers do not understand that just because we have been born again, does not mean that we are immediately set free from the thought patterns passed on to us by our families, circumstances, and sometimes even other Believers.
We must understand that upon receiving Christ we begin a journey to identify the difference between thought patterns that actually align with the Word of God, and everything else contrary to it. As we begin this process, it can be unnerving to discover that people we’ve loved and admired still hold established thought patterns of fear, poverty, doubt and unbelief—even by those who mean well. Yes, even Bible-believing Christians.
The journey from walking in the new way, processing life through a spirit-filled interpretation of the Word of God, can appear easier for some than for others. That said, the journey, though different for all, is still just that… a journey, from the familiar to the new. The destination to victory is a path easily forgotten by many.
We know that the Word of God is the absolute best place any Believer can go to when faced with a battle of their mind, will, or emotions. Although many place it as their last stop before utter failure, we encourage you to begin to take those old thought patterns captive right away—understanding that we walk by faith in God, not by sight alone.
We’ve shared a list of a few core scriptures here with you today about faith. As you begin to build your faith in God, we can never guarantee it will be easy, however, we do know that “with Him all things are possible.” The path may be rocky at times, but we can promise you that He will never leave you!
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”—Romans 10:17
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”—Hebrews 11:6
“And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”—Matthew 21:22 “So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.’”—Mark 11:22-24
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”—Ephesians 2:8-9
“For with God nothing will be impossible.”—Luke 1:37
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.”—Ephesians 2:8
“That your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”—1 Corinthians 2:5
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”—Proverbs 3:5-6
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”—Psalm 46:10
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”—2 Corinthians 5:7
As we continue to walk by faith, know that mocking spirits are prone to attack. This will often appear as your own inner voice speaking word curses over your future. It is imperative that you take time out of your life to invest in yourself. Ask the Lord to define your call in one word! Begin to address areas of health, lifestyle, and career. Begin to set goals for yourself. These must be manageable, realistic goals for your life that align with where God is taking you.
At Curt Landry Ministries we are praying for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit to empower your alone time with Father God. We know that He is the Creator of our destinies, and that through Him we will be victorious! Be encouraged readers! You will finish, and finish well.
