Season of Restoration and Refreshing
“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.”—Acts 3:19-21
Throughout history, mankind has looked to the sun, moon, and stars for signs and answers to the calamities happening on the earth. We are in an unprecedented time of solar and lunar patterns, where we see the four blood moon tetrads. What is interesting is that all four blood moons either have, or will, appear on Biblical Holy Days.
1. Passover 04.15.14 2. Feast of Tabernacles 10.08.14 3. Passover 04.04.15 4. Feast of Tabernacles 09.28.15
The questions remain… What do these signs mean, and what should we do?
“Sing aloud to God our strength; Make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob. Raise a song and strike the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the lute. Blow the trumpet at the time of the New Moon, at the full moon, on our solemn feast day. For this is a statute for Israel, a law of the God of Jacob.”—Psalm 81:1-4 This scripture is calling us in the midst of the new moons to blow trumpets, sound the alarm, praise, dance, sing and keep the appointed feasts of the Lord. In the midst of these troubled times, we need to have an urgency to assemble ourselves together, not forsaking the assembly, when we see the day approaching (see Hebrews 10:25). As I was ministering from the bema at our Passover Seder on April 3rd, I looked down at my notes and saw my first slide with images of the two blood moons and shofars. There was a blood moon at Passover 5774/5775 and The Feast Tabernacles 5774/5775, and in-between these moons was a shofar representing the Feast of Trumpets or Rosh Hashanah—the Jewish New Year.
The question I asked in that moment was,“What will happen without repentance, or teshuvah?”
I would like to share some facts with you:
• We had four blood moons in 1948, the year that the Israel was re-birthed. • We had four blood moons in 1967, the year of the 6-Days War when Jerusalem was recaptured and returned to Jewish control.
And then we consider that this year, 5775, is a Shmita year, and recall recent history during Shmita years:
• During Shmita year 2008 we faced an economic crash. • Shmita year 2001 was the year of 9/11.
Again, the question remains… “What will happen without a Godly response of repentance?”
These are powerful signs designed to push believers into right alignment with God. If you want to have peace knowing that no harm will come near your dwelling or your person during these prophetically-charged times, here is a small checklist that I made in conjunction with Perry Stone so that you can be sure you are ready for the days to come:
□ Return to the Almighty during this time of repentance. □ Make your prayer to Him during this time of prayer. □ Pay your vows during this time of giving. □ Declare a thing and it shall be established during this time of declaration.
This perfect blueprint of teshuvah came from a man who was familiar with sorrow: Job… “If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; you will remove iniquity far from your tents. Then you will lay your gold in the dust, and the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks. Yes, the Almighty will be your gold and your precious silver; for then you will have your delight in the Almighty, and lift up your face to God. You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, and you will pay your vows. You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; so light will shine on your ways.”—Job 22:23-28
This month I am encouraging you to contemplate this checklist and have a time of repentance, a time of prayer, a time of thoughtful giving, and a time of declaration.
