Shifting from Saul to David: The Remnants Are Being Promoted (Part II)
Welcome back for Part II of this prophetic now word from Curt Landry.
Join us as we make this very important shift from the kingship of Saul into the House of King David. (Click Here to read Part I of “Shifting from Saul to David: The Remnants Are Being Promoted”)
What Anointing Do You Carry?
The spirit that was on Saul made him believe that he was something that he was not. Saul’s thoughts of himself went beyond his anointing. He thought that he was a king-priest, but he was just a commander.
The problem today in America is that we have many in leadership—in the government and in the Church—who think of themselves far beyond what their anointing is. They are not anointed to be king-priests, they are self-proclaimed apostles and prophets, self-proclaimed pastors, self-proclaimed governmental representatives… and they are all frauds.
In order to escape Saul’s hand, David goes into the enemy’s camp.
“And David said in his heart, ‘Now I shall perish someday by the hand of Saul. There is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape to the land of the Philistines; and Saul will despair of me, to seek me anymore in any part of Israel. So I shall escape out of his hand.’”— 1 Samuel 27.1
How many people gifted in music have been rejected by the Saul church? How many pastors have we lost to selling cars or insurance? After your gift is rejected over and over, eventually you are going to leave.
How Many People Are We Losing?
“Now Samuel had died, and all Israel had lamented for him and buried him in Ramah, in his own city. And Saul had put the mediums and the spiritists out of the land.”—1 Samuel 28.3
The Saul spirit will always kill any form of supernatural communication because they cannot control it. How many spiritual prophets that used to speak out in the church have been told by the pastors not to speak, don’t pray in tongues, don’t interpret that tongue? How much damage over the years have these Saul pastors and their leadership done to the Body of Christ?
In 1 Samuel 28.7-16, the woman who was a medium from En Dor knew that the only one with the anointing that could call up Samuel was either Saul or David.
Today, Saul’s rivers are drying up. The grace has run out… it’s over. He is now the enemy of God. The Lord is tearing the Saul spirit out of the Church and giving it over to the David spirit.
“And the Lord has done for Himself as He spoke by me. For the Lord has torn the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbor, David. Because you did not obey the voice of the Lord nor execute His fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore the Lord has done this thing to you this day.”—1 Samuel 28.17-18
The scripture says that a good man shall leave an inheritance to his children’s children. Your plan as a leader, whether in business or in the Church, should always be to expand your ministry to your sons and daughters, that they would go beyond you and that you are not threatened by them being bigger, better, or having more success than you.
Saul felt threatened because his anointing did not match his position. The reason that people become jealous is because they do not understand their anointing and the meaning of “the Body of Christ.”
David strengthened himself in the Lord (see 1 Samuel 30.06)when everything was completely lost for him.
There are some who have the heart of David who are tired of being oppressed by the “Apostle Saul”—the Saul spirit. Remember that everyone else will fail you, but God will never fail you. You can shorten that season before your anointing comes into fruition if you will learn to trust in God.
David learned that he could do nothing without the Lord… even at his highest sense of despair and hopelessness.
“Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.”—1 Samuel 30.1-3, 6
God is looking for those who will not quit, not retaliate against their enemies, and will not touch the Lord’s anointed, even if they deserve it.
David Recovered ALL…
So, David recovered ALL! (see 1 Samuel 30.17-20). And not only did he recover all, but he also took the spoils of the enemy—David is starting over with a new beginning and a huge transfer of wealth.
“Then David attacked them from twilight until the evening of the next day. Not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men who rode on camels and fled. So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives.
“And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all. Then David took all the flocks and herds they had driven before those other livestock, and said, this is David’s spoil.”—1 Samuel 30.17-20
The reason David was king was because he did not take revenge. His circumstances had burned out any vindictiveness.
“Saul and Jonathan were beloved and pleasant in their lives, and in their death they were not divided; they were swifter than eagles, they were stronger than lions.”—2 Samuel 1.17-18, 23
If you are going to be a true king-priest leader like David, you cannot wish evil upon your enemies. So David lamented over the death of Saul and Jonathan.
America is witnessing much upheaval and political posturing during the recent governmental elections because the people in America are looking for a Saul instead of a David. Therefore men and women are behaving in, what might seem, a ridiculous manner because of the ancient Saul spirit that has covered this Nation.
We are to be like David in times of trouble. And it is how we respond in the wait that will determine how we finish.
In David there is a vision for a restoration of the temple of the Lord. The message of David is the One New Man—the message that will lead Israel and the Jewish people back to Messiah!
A Prophetic Word: “I Am Releasing the Anointing of David”
“It’s time that David would arise. It’s time that the remnant of God would arise and shine and let the light come. For the Glory of the Lord is upon you. It’s time! It’s time! It’s time!
“For,” the Lord says, “I am raising up the spirit of David. And I am releasing it through my ancient gates like I did in the time of David. And those who have suffered and those who have paid the price I will anoint as My king-priests. And there shall be none like them,” says the Lord.
“For I am releasing the anointing of David. And the Lord, God Himself will walk through the aisles and anoint you. God is looking for those who will inquire of Him in every aspect of their lives. Not moved by anger, grief, doubt, unbelief, or fear, but will always come to Me and say, ‘Lord what shall I do.?’
“For I have called David to arise and shine. He shall rise up and unify the Church in the end-time hour, for he has the double-portion anointing of king and priest which is a rare anointing. And he will succeed in the church and in the marketplace. He will lead as a shepherd who shepherds his flock. He shall not cut-off nor attack Saul when he is in a cave or in a sheepfold. For he knows and has learned the lesson—touch not the Lord’s anointed—and he shall not touch them. For in gentleness and kindness and in meekness, and the blessings of the beatitudes are his”, says the Lord. “For he shall contain and enjoy the Kingdom of God.
“Today I proclaim, and decree, and declare that the new angels in the army of the Lord of Hosts will remove the Philistines off of the ancient threshing floors. In Yeshua’s Name.”
A Prayer:
“Father God, in the name of Yeshua, I repent of all impatience and I cutoff the affects of words that I have spoken in my impatience, where I have come into agreement with my anger and my frustration. I ask that you remove it far from me. I decree that my iniquities are forgiven and my sins are washed as white as snow.
“Father God, we corporately cancel Satan’s attacks that try to capitalize on divine delays. Father God, I choose to release the delays and decree that that I will not be denied. It shall come to pass.
“Father God, times of waiting are designed to be those times of great faith. Stretch my faith like a tent over my life, and in this tent we shall find intimacy in the knowledge of You—and that will be the sweetest thing.
“Lord, I am a mature Believer and I understand that waiting is a significant part of daily life. I repent for being impatient.
“Lord, we decree that God always makes it worth waiting. The best is yet to come. God will redeem a double-portion of all that has been stolen in my life. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.”
