Walk with God
From the moment we first accept the I AM as our God, we desire to walk with Him… but circumstances come, and sometimes, we stumble. In those moments, life may appear dark. But God did not create us to accept darkness, He created us to BRING light to the darkness. He created us to be overcomers!
The Word is filled with Godly wisdom and direction, which, when followed, can not only guide us in our walk with Him, but cause us to become overcomers!

1. Follow God
“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.’”—John 8:12
“Then He said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.’”—Matthew 4:19
“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”—Proverbs 3:6
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.”—1 Peter 2:9-10

2. Operate in Love
“This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.”—John 15:12

3. Understand that God is Just

4. Rejoice in God

5. Trust God
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;”—Proverbs 3:5
“The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and trust in Him. And all the upright in heart shall glory.”—Psalm 64:10
“Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.”—Psalm 32:10
“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.”—Psalm 20:7
“As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.”—Psalm 18:30
6. Be Thankful
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.”—Psalm 100:4
“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.”—Colossians 3:15
“in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”—1 Thessalonians 5:18
“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”—1 Chronicles 16:34

7. Be at Peace
“Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!’ And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.”—Mark 4:39
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”—John 16:33
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You…”—Isaiah 26:3
“Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.”—2 Thessalonians 3:16

Conclusion
While these seven secrets to overcoming may not include everything which God wants YOU to believe, receive, or do, they serve as important reminders. As tools each and every Believer needs to walk with God as an overcomer!
Beyond this, seek God and discover what He would have you refine in your walk with Him. He may have you focus on one of these seven things or something else entirely. But either way, His Word WILL confirm His answer to you. Meditate on His confirming scriptures; memorize them, but also implement them in your life. Through following God’s direction and Word, you will not only improve your walk with Him, you will be an overcomer!
