Prayers for the United States of America | Entering the Heavenly Courtroom

As we lift up prayers for the United States of America before this critical election day, let us go into our personal prayer closets and come before the throne room of grace, entering into Heaven’s courtroom and choosing to bless the Lord. 

Let us humbly come before Him and ask Him to cleanse our own hearts before we ask Him to work out His plans for our nation. 

Getting our prayers for the United States of America answered requires God’s people—us—to:

• Humble ourselves
• Seek His face
• Repent of our own rebellion
• Cancel anxieties and worries
• Make our requests known
• Give thanks

The Righteous Judge promises to hear our prayers and release forgiveness and healing. He promises to give us peace and guard our hearts and minds in Jesus. Let’s hold tight to these promises as we align our hearts with His. 

• “… if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”—2 Chronicles 7:14
• “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”—Philippians 4:6-7

As Believers, we are responsible for entering the Courts of Heaven and lifting up prayers for the United States of America. We can’t afford to sit along the sidelines and wait for results in the natural—God calls us to be praying people who declare, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be one on earth as it is in Heaven” (Matthew 6:10)! 

Entering the Courts of Heaven to Lift Up Prayers for the United States of America

So then, let us move into a time of prayers for the United States of America by humbly repenting and giving thanks. 

Let us pray for the events of election day and continue to pray through the coming hours for godly leaders to rise up and for policies that reflect God’s principles to be made manifest in our nation. 

Removing Hindrances Through Humility

Father God, I decree and declare I am making a choice to bless You.  Throughout the days, weeks, and months, I’ve worn a garment stained with worries, anxieties, anger, doubt (name other emotions you feel). I cannot clean up these garments. In my humility, I exchange them for Your robe of righteousness. 

Father God, I apply the blood of Jesus from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet, and I ask You to cleanse me so that I can enter Your courts. And I will do so with thanksgiving and praise. 

Father God, anything contrary to what You have written about me in the books or what the accuser has used against me to hinder my prayers, I ask, by Your blood, Jesus, that it be expunged and removed from the records. 

Lord, I confess all known and unknown sin and that the blood of Jesus has expunged and canceled it. It has been taken as far as the east is from the west.

Entering into the Courtroom to Intercede for the Nation

Righteous Judge, I enter into Your mercy courts as a King-Priest—one assigned to lead, pray, and worship with the authority given to me by Jesus after the order of Melchizedek. 

I put on my full armor of God and war on behalf of myself, my family, and my nation. 

• I put on the belt of truth—the identity You have assigned to me and the identity You have assigned to the United States of America—a Judeo-Christian nation.  
• I put on the breastplate of righteousness given to me through Jesus. I cover my heart and the heart of the United States with the righteousness of Jesus.  
• I put on the shoes fitted with the gospel of peace, that everywhere I walk, specifically in this nation, I have the authority to speak of who You are and what You stand for. 
• I put up the shield of faith that extinguishes any and all flaming accusations the enemy throws. I hold up the shield of faith over myself, my family, and my nation in Jesus’ name. 
• I put on my helmet of salvation, trusting my mind to You and inviting You to invade my thoughts and the thoughts of this nation’s future leaders. 
• I hold up the sword of the Spirit, the word of God that will tear down strongholds that have been built up by the enemy in this nation. 

Righteous Judge, the Word says Your mercies are new every day.  In the fourth dimension, I prophesy that the decrees stated will come to pass. In Job, it says, “Decree a thing, and it shall come to pass” (Job 22:28). You are my Rear Guard, Lord. So I ask Your glory to fall all around me, my household, and this nation in Jesus’ name. 

Repentance for Rebellion and Thanks for Mercies

Righteous Judge, I come to You—with my brothers and sisters in Jesus—and I repent for the rebellion that has taken place in this nation, for the spirits that have been behind policies that do not honor what You honor—the policies that speak against…

• Life
• Identity
• Family
• Purpose
• Your chosen people, Israel  

Lord, You are righteous and love justice. So I come to You, in the name of our Righteous Savior, Yeshua Ha’Mashaich, and thank You for Your love, mercy, grace, forgiveness, new beginnings, anointings, and appointed callings. I surrender all judgment and vengeance upon those who oppose Your will to the foot of Your throne. 

Thank You, Lord, for Your sovereignty and good plans. I thank You for the future of my family and for this nation. I praise You, for You are holy, holy, holy. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is Yours.

Decrees

Let’s decree these together! 

Decrees over the Church

If we want to proclaim moving prayers for the United States of America, we must understand that judgment first comes to the house of God (1 Peter 4:17). Let us pray for the Church to arise in this hour, humbling ourselves and picking up the mantle of authority we have in Jesus to make mountains as plains in this nation! 

Humility and Compassion:

• We decree that a spirit of humility fills the Church, stirring Believers with love and compassion for each other, whomever You bring across their paths, and Israel. Let the children of God reflect the Father’s heart. 
• We come into agreement with Matthew 25:40, “And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’”

Boldly Preach God’s Word: 

• We decree that local churches across the United States will fall in love with their First Love—Jesus—and boldly preach the whole Word of God. Let the gospel be proclaimed with authority and anointing, leading many to salvation.
• We come into agreement with Psalms 119:15-17, “I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate Your ways, I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.”

Holy Sanctification of the Church: 

• We decree that a Spirit of holiness comes upon the Church in the United States of America. Let the Church pursue holiness and righteousness, reflecting the character of Jesus and the Father’s heart in every area of life.
• We come into agreement with 1 Peter 1:15, “…but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.”

Prayers of Victory:

• We decree that all the promises of God are yes and amen and that we can boldly pray prayers of victory, sounding the trumpet as we war in prayer for this nation. Let there be a mighty prayer movement within the One New Humanity in Yeshua reformation for God’s will to be done. 
• We come into agreement with Numbers 10:9, “When you go to war in your land against the enemy who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the Lord your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.”

Prophetic King-Priest Voices in the Church: 

• We decree that the Church will rise up with a strong and fearless prophetic King-Priest voice for the United States of America. Let the prophetic words speak life and revival into this nation. 
• We come into agreement with Revelation 1:5-6, “To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”

Repentance in the Church:

• We declare that a Spirit of repentance falls upon the Church in the United States of America, causing Believers to turn back to God and seek Him with all their hearts. Let the Church return to their First Love—Jesus—and be filled with the fire of the Holy Spirit. 
• We come into agreement with Psalm 51:10-13, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted to You.”

Believers in Mountains of Influence: 

• We decree that Believers active in mountains of influence: government, media, education, family, entertainment, the Church, and business will be given wisdom and courage to stand for godly principles. Let these King-Priest leaders rise up in boldness and uphold righteousness. 
• We come into agreement with Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Decrees over Election Day 

Godly Wisdom and Fair Election: 

• We declare that divine wisdom will rest upon the voters, guiding them to sound judgment and discretion. We decree that the election process will be safe, fair, and protected from weapons of the enemy. Let godly wisdom lead the charge on election day.
• We come into agreement with Proverbs 3:21-23, “My son, let them not depart from your eyes—keep sound wisdom and discretion; so they will be life to your soul and grace to your neck. Then you will walk safely in your way, and your foot will not stumble.” 

Godly Justice in Voting: 

• We declare that any spirits or people who seek to unjustly alter the voting outcome will be removed. Let any attempt at deception be exposed and defeated, in Jesus’ name. We decree that the Lord’s justice will reign over this election.
• We come into agreement with Isaiah 28:17, “Also I will make justice the measuring line, and righteousness the plummet; the hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters will overflow the hiding place.”

Abundant Turnout of Voters: 

• We decree that there will be an abundant turnout of voters led by godly wisdom in their decisions. We invite the Spirit of wisdom to cover them as they vote and bring their choices into alignment with God’s heart and will. 
• We come into agreement with Proverbs 4:5-6, “Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you.” 

Protection over the Election Process:

• We declare divine protection over the election process, guarding it from any demonic attacks, delays, or interference. Let every plot against the election be nullified in the Courts of Heaven by the Righteous Judge and may it proceed in peace and safety.
• We come into agreement with Deuteronomy 3:22, “Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.”

Now that we’ve humbled ourselves, entered the Courts of Heaven, and prayed over the Church and election, we are positioned to have our prayers for the United States of America heard and answered according to God’s will and timing! 

Pray for our future president and governing authorities and that our nation comes into alignment with Israel because this is God’s heart—to see the Church and Israel as One New Man united in Yeshua.
