Faith, Family, and Legacy Interview Series | Part 8: The Conclusion—Bringing It All Together
The Landry and Marcellino families’ faith walk is unique and purposeful. We can all be encouraged by the parallels of faith stories we see between theirs and ours. And together we can be in awe of God’s glory as He reaches each one of us in unique ways, using us to further His Kingdom, ultimately drawing us deeper into His presence.
>>>START FROM THE BEGINNING OF THIS SPECIAL SERIES<<<
God has set Believers apart to show the world His character and His ways. While He sets us apart, He calls us to tap into the power He has deposited within each of us—the power to love as He loves and to follow His commands.
“If you love Me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”—John 14:15-18
He does this not only for His glory, but to bless us. This walk of obedience that leads to blessings is something the Landry’s have experienced over and over throughout their faith journey. When biblical principles are applied to your life, powerful changes take place.
You see, blindness, unfortunately, has fallen on some in the Body of Christ today. They are saved, yet doubt, fear, and unbelief paralyze them. This happens when one walks out of alignment with God’s will. This misalignment holds them back from walking in the fullness of salvation.
Yeshua said He that he will manifest Himself to those who love Him. Those who love Him obey His commands, and He leaves them with peace. This peace is available to all who believe.
Once the Landry’s turned their lives over to God’s direction and instruction, He made powerful changes both in their hearts and in their home. Curt and Christie could see from this change, that family, neighbors and friends began to take notice.
They applied biblical principles to everyday life
How did they apply biblical principles?
Tithing— Curt and Christie told us of the difficulties they had trying to conceive. A friend of Christie’s told her about tithing, and as a last resort they decide to give, in hopes of changed circumstances. Then God blessed them with their daughter, Megann. They continued to dig deeper into God’s Word about finances, and put this area of their life at His feet, following His commands.
Prayer— Prayer is not something the Landry’s take lightly. The entire family discussed praying in preparation for the trips to Israel, over Arieblla before she was born, and during morning devotions—they are in constant communication—always conversing with our God.
Curt spoke about the need for husbands and families to allow mothers to pray… “If momma gets to pray, it makes the day go much better!”
Curt also said, “Regular communication with God is good for children to see. The family understands that prayer leads to peace and hearing from the Lord. And everyone in the home has a responsibility to bring peace into the home.”
Spirit-led lives— The Landry and Marcellino families don’t know how to do life any other way than being in constant communication with the Holy Spirit—allowing Him to lead and guide them. Christie explained that they “taught Megann at a young age to communicate with the Holy Spirit. He shapes your character and nature.”
Megann clearly took this principle to heart as the Lord revealed to her at age five that she would help the people of Israel.

These are only a few of the many ways that these families live out the Word of God. They continue to experience blessings in their lives because God’s Word says that He blesses obedience. They have taken these blessings and have shared with younger generations, Holocaust survivors, the nation of Israel, many involved in their ministry work, and people from all over the world.
“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”—Luke 6:45
Leaving a legacy
Leaving a legacy is a fundamental part of their ministry. They are confident in their call to, “learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow” (Isaiah 1:17).
Not only are they responding to the call to care for those less fortunate, they are also passing this principle and this lifestyle on to future generations. They believe God’s Word when He speaks of children.
“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with their enemies in the gate.”—Psalm 127:3-5

Choose to operate in alignment with God’s will
The Landry family is not void of struggles. They wrestle with fear, doubt, unbelief and pressure, the same as we all do.
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”—1 Corinthians 10:13
However, they live a life of seeking alignment. They do not dwell on what isn’t, they rejoice in what is! They rejoice in their gifts of the Spirit.
While these principles may sound simple, they do take practice. They understand who the enemy is and that he comes to steal, kill and destroy. Therefore, they have equipped themselves with the Armor of God. They know how to prepare for warfare.
Taking the biblical principles discussed in this series with the Landry’s and Marcellino’s, we will dig deeper into what God’s Word says about fidelity, work, ministry and parenting. These areas are common pain points for all of us, and the Word of God has the answers. There are practical ways these truths can be applied. Keep checking back as we explore more ways to apply God’s Word to your life!
