Iran’s Supreme Leader: Israel Won’t Exist in 25 Years
The ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran have been well-publicized lately, especially in the wake of a nuclear deal struck between several nations and Iran that severely jeopardizes the safety and future of Israel. Now, the supreme leader of Iran has added even more fuel to the fire.
The Ayatollah Ali Khamenei recently went on record as saying Israel will no longer exist within the next quarter century. In a speech at the Imam Khomeini Mosque, he said, “I’d say (to Israel) that they will not see (the end) of these 25 years.”
The issue was brought up while discussing the deal between Iran and the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, China and Russia. In the deal, Iran agrees to cut down its stores of
uranium and cut its centrifuges while limiting uranium enrichment in exchange for these nations lifting the sanctions levied against Iran.
Numerous critics have blasted the deal publicly, saying Iran is not to be trusted to live up to its end of the bargain, and will now be free to essentially carry on with its nuclear activities with no sanctions in place. President Obama has already announced he has enough support to veto any actions taken by congress to eliminate the deal, but that won’t stop the criticism from pouring in from both sides of the political spectrum.
These latest comments by the Iran leader speak to exactly how little respect and regard the nation has for Israel. He also said the following:
“God willing, there will be no such thing as a Zionist regime in 25 years. Until then, struggling, heroic and jihadi morale will leave no moment of serenity for Zionists.”
This doesn’t exactly sound like a man who is willing to play nice. So long as the West refuses to step in and take disciplinary action against Iran, Israel is in danger. It is very telling that the supreme leader is so open for his disdain for Israel.
The people of Israel should not have to live in fear. Please offer your support and prayers for them as all of these events continue to unfold.
