Instruction and Inheritance: A Review
Last year I shared two series on PowerPoints with Curt Landry regarding instruction and inheritance. As Believers, we must understand that we cannot have one without the other. Therefore, as we continue to press forward into this third-day season of time, I feel that it is important to do a short review of these topics.
Many prophetic voices have prophesied over the last few years that a tremendous wealth transfer is coming to the Body of Christ. Several, including myself, have decreed that “the camels are coming.” Yet, many of us have not experienced that breakthrough at the level we were expecting.
However, we must remember that prophecy is God speaking through man about a future time to come. Unless God gives a deadline for that occurrence to take place, the time in which we walk that out may be weeks, months, and in this case… even years. But I’m telling you, IT IS COMING! Do not lose heart.
Even now we are beginning to see breakthrough happen. Even now signs and wonders are beginning to follow. So be encouraged. Strengthen yourself in the instruction of the Lord. Clean out any areas of fear and doubt that have tried to creep in during this season of testing.
INSTRUCTION REVIEW:
1). God’s instruction is a critical guide for our lives, but only if we put it into action.
Scripture Reference: “Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; keep her, for she is your life.”—Proverbs 4:13
2). Those who follow the instruction of the Bible will have peace, prosperity, and health, but it takes discipline of the soul.
Scripture Reference: “Hear instruction and be wise, and do not disdain it.”—Proverbs 8:33
3). The Word says, “Don’t be stupid, embrace instruction.”
Scripture Reference: “Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid.”—Proverbs 12:1
4). If we’re unwilling to ‘ask for direction’ it may be an indicator on our ‘dashboard’ that rebellion is rising.
Scripture Reference: “And put a knife to your throat if you are a man given to appetite.”—Proverbs 23:2
5). Reproof and correction are blessings from a loving Father, and embracing instruction will improve every area of our life.
Scripture Reference: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”—2 Timothy 3:16
INHERITIENCE REVIEW:
1). We must understand the instruction so that we can receive and apply the inheritance.
Scripture Reference: “For the Lord’s portion is His people; Jacob is the place of His inheritance.”—Deuteronomy 32:9
2). Understanding alignment with God is critical to participating or walking in our inheritance. God not only paid for this inheritance, He protects it.
Scripture Reference: “O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot.”—Psalm 16:5
3). Once you realize that you were born into God’s Kingdom, then you understand that as a Believer we all receive the same inheritance.
Scripture Reference: “The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; yes, I have a good inheritance.”—Psalm 16:6
4). The Key to your inheritance is that the Lord will give you more than enough for the season you are in. If you can stay focused on what you need and not what others have, you will be at peace.
Scripture Reference: “The Lord knows the days of the upright, and their inheritance shall be forever.”—Psalm 37:18
5). What He will release to you in your season will overwhelm you! How do we maintain our inheritance in the Lord?
Scripture Reference: “…giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.”—Colossians 1:12
May you be richly blessed by this review on instruction and inheritance! Above all else, may you know that you are deeply loved by your heavenly Father who has great plans for your future. May His love overwhelm you in all areas, and may you be fully satisfied by His presence and goodness. And despite times of waiting, may you say, “You, Father God, are more than enough!” God bless YOU!
