This encounter with the Lord was one of many that began to expose the enemy’s lies, which the thief had used to steal from her. 

Each chapter of the book exposes the enemy: how he attacks, the roadblocks he sets up, and the various ways he keeps us from fulfilling our destiny, purpose, and calling. So often, the battle isn’t external but internal—in the mind.   

The thief comes to rob our hearts. He seeks ways to steal us from understanding our identities in Jesus. He knows that divine blessing, purpose, and victory fall into place when we get our identities right, which is why he makes every effort to rob us of this understanding.
