As winter ends and spring peeks around the corner, God calls us to move forward. He is preparing us to answer our calls, to enter into and call upon the covenant we have with Him through Yeshua, and see Him as our divine source.
Yet many of us still feel stuck when God says, “Move!”
How do you get unstuck so you are answering your call like Esther in this season? You revisit your godly goals.
Revisiting Our Godly Goals and Answering the Call
For most people, the year starts with goal setting, but after a few weeks, the goals get pushed to the side. After a few months, the words and commitments we wrote at the beginning of the year are forgotten.
Now is the time to revisit our goals so we can answer the call in this new season!
Revisiting Your Godly Goals Repositions You in the Covenant
When you revisit your goals to answer the call, you are reminding yourself of your covenant with God, declaring Him as your source. In these divine covenant agreements, God binds Himself to…
- Sustain you
- Sanctify you
- Promote you
…in return for your commitment to serve Him and keep His commandments.
Your goals are not about furthering your kingdom; they are about furthering His. When you remind your soul of placing God’s glory as your goal, you are repositioned in covenant understanding, love, confidence, and revelation, so answering your call is possible when the circumstances seem impossible.
Revisiting Your Godly Goals Sets You on a Path to Spiritual Maturity
As someone who is mission-minded, you have a spiritual call. But it takes spiritual meat to answer a spiritual call. Revisiting your goals reminds you of God’s ways, so you don’t “partake only of milk” but take in meat! Hebrews 5:14 says, “But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
Revisiting Your Godly Goals Reminds You of the Forgiveness and Fresh Start You Have in Yeshua
You set godly goals, and God knows those goals will have to be revisited throughout your journey. He wants you to remember that answering your call hinges on forgiveness. Not only have you needed forgiveness and received it through Yeshua, but you also must forgive others. Job 42:10 says, “And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.”
God will not open doors for you to answer your call with unforgiveness in your heart. So then, remember the forgiveness you’ve received and extend it to others.
Answering Your Call Like Esther
Esther answered her call because she had godly counsel (Mordecai) and had confidence that God would deliver her people. She had a goal that focused on His Kingdom, not hers, and she stayed consistent, praying and fasting for a breakthrough.
She was awakened to a spiritual relationship with God, where she could step into her calling and become the person God predestined her to be.
God wants to do the same in you.
Answering Your Call by Applying, Changing, and Transforming According to God’s Word
- Apply Psalm 1:1-3.
Surround yourself with wise counsel and delight in the law of the Lord. Meditate on it day and night. Then you will be like a tree planted by the water and bring forth fruit in season, prospering and not withering.
- Change from Unforgiveness to Forgiveness
Just as Job prayed for His friends, you can too. Pray for a friend who has failed you. Repent of any bitterness or anger and release them of any wrongdoing. Perhaps you need to forgive yourself. Whatever unforgiveness is in your heart, ask the Spirit to cleanse you of it so you can answer your call.
- Be Transformed by Covenant Peace and Power
Isaiah 22:22-23 says, “The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; so he shall open, and no one shall shut; and he shall shut, and no one shall open. I will fasten him as a peg in a secure place, and he will become a glorious throne to his father’s house.” The key of David is the key to covenant peace and power! When you walk in the authority of Yeshua, understanding your covenant with God, He will set you apart to serve Him, answering your call like Esther.
Now Is the Time…
As you review your goals, meditate on God’s Word and trust He will restore whatever has been robbed or removed. Stand in God’s steady and consistent love and be encouraged by the fellowship you have as One New Man Believers. He is teaching you to be a champion in this next season.
