Finishing 2024 & Bringing Yeshua’s Light to Others
As the year draws to a close, the month of Kislev arrives, bringing with it a focus on miracles, light, and hope. This season is known for its connections to the miraculous events of Hanukkah, where God’s light shone brightly in the darkness, reminding us of His presence, provision, and power to do the impossible.
God’s Call to Bring the Light in Kislev
The call of Kislev isn’t simply to reflect on miracles past—it’s an invitation to become carriers of Yeshua’s light in the world, helping others experience their own breakthroughs and blessings and releasing the power to do the impossible.
Kislev encourages us to deepen our trust in God’s presence. This was the month that the small amount of oil in the Temple was miraculously sustained, symbolizing how God’s provision surpassed all natural limits.
His Power and Presence Sustains
This was more than a miraculous event; it was a beacon of hope to the people, a reminder that God’s presence sustains and empowers, even in the bleakest of times.
To align with God’s purposes for this month, which works out for 2024 to be the final month of the Gregorian calendar year, we must ask ourselves…
- How do we bring Yeshua’s light to others?
- How do we sow into the miracles God wants to do?
- How do we activate sustaining power and presence in the bleakest of times?
This is the month God’s light filled the Temple, and it is also the month He is knocking on the doors of our hearts, asking us to come into agreement with and be filled with His light so others receive miracles and breakthroughs in His name, giving Him the glory!
Miracles and Breakthroughs Await
Many in Israel have shared their stories with us—stories of devastation, loneliness, and heartache from this past year and the war. These stories are opportunities to release the hope and light we are called to bring in the bleakest of times during the month of Kislev.
Chanel’s story
Chanel, one of our Safe House residents, entered the foster care system at 6 due to violence in the home and aged out at 18. Her traumatic childhood has resurfaced due to the war as she has been serving in the IDF reserves and has experienced painful loss. Despite these struggles, Chanel has drawn strength from others with similar backgrounds in the Safe House program. But her story isn’t finished yet. She is still healing and growing and needs the breakthrough and miracle God has for her.
Yuval’s story…
Yuval was a 29-year-old man killed in a Hamas-led attack on October 7, 2023, in Kibbutz Kfar Aza. His father remembers his zest for life and honors him by sharing his story with others. He is also cleaning up the area that was left in total destruction so many can return home and rebuild their lives.
Yuval’s story isn’t over yet. Though he has passed, his memory can be a blessing and a breakthrough for others. Not only can evil plans of complete annihilation be decimated as restoration takes place in the kibbutz, but the hope of Yeshua can be brought to this community, and others, as we help them rebuild and fulfill their destinies.

The Purpose of Miracles
The miracles of Kislev are not meant only for personal comfort. They call us to look outward and recognize the needs of others who may be struggling or searching for hope.
As we approach the end of the year, we can finish it well by allowing our faith and the light God has placed within us to bless others. This season is a reminder to be intentional about helping others receive their miracles.
When we carry Yeshua’s light, we become vessels through which His love, hope, and healing flow to those around us.
This Kislev, may we not only witness Yeshua’s light but carry it. May we see miracles unfold in our lives and in Israel as we sow into their rebuilding and restoration. Let us answer the call of finishing the year with purpose, love, and generosity.
