Teshuvah | A True Return to the Lord
September 13 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
“Teshuvah” is a Hebrew word that means “to return” and is often translated as “repentance.” As we prepare our hearts and minds for the Fall Feast and the Hebrew New Year 5785, “teshuvah” or “returning” to the Lord is a central theme for this appointed time.
Teshuvah in Scripture
- Joel 2:12—“Turn to Me with all your heart…”
- Isaiah 55:7—“… let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him…”
- Isiah 55:11—“… My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void…”`
Teshuvah is more than you think…
While this word is most translated as “repentance,” it is more. It reflects returning to what is true, taking a personal inventory of alignment with truth, and bringing your desires, family, and community into sync and agreement with God’s truth.
Teshuvah is a true return to Yeshua! This is why He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).
Teshuvah is growth in the return to the Lord. It takes you deeper and releases joy because in the returning, there is restoration and renewal!
Join Pastor Tim Alsbaugh as he unpacks the beauty and new life that comes from “teshuvah” or repentance.
