Watch Your Words | Speak Blessings in the Month of Kislev

Luke 6:45 says, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”
What we speak matters. The power of life and death is in the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). This Hebrew month, Kislev, is a time to speak blessings.
But to speak the blessings promised in God’s Word, we must store them up in our hearts. Psalm 19:14 reminds us to meditate on what is acceptable to the Lord. When we think about the Lord as our Savior, Redeemer, and Strong Tower, we will begin to speak these truths, shifting and changing the atmosphere we enter into.
