Help Children in Need with Curt Landry Ministries

Every now and then we like to highlight one of our humanitarian aid projects we have going on at Curt Landry Ministries. Of those, few are as near and dear to our hearts as the Safe House project, which provides impoverished, at-risk children throughout Jerusalem with a safe place they can call home.

Families throughout Jerusalem and Israel are being torn apart from the inside out because of a variety of factors, including poverty, violence, a lack of educational access, and more. The country may be God’s promised land, filled with stunning landscapes, thriving cities and tranquil beauty, but its people face many challenges every day that are completely unfamiliar to many of us in the Western world who are used to living a more comfortable lifestyle.

Approximately one-third of all families in Israel live below the poverty line, which means that every single day they have to deal with the distress of lack of food, lack of money, and unemployment. These factors can quickly take their toll on households, which become filled with turmoil, frustration, and anger. As a result, there are thousands of children throughout Israel who are either neglected or abused and cannot feel safe even in their own homes.

To help combat this growing problem, Israelis have created what they call Safe Houses, where children have a place they can live and sleep safely, and where they can benefit from a positive family environment. We at Curt Landry Ministries are proud to support these Safe Houses to help give Israeli children a true, positive future.

A single gift of $150 to Curt Landry Ministries will help sustain the care of more than 6500 abused and neglected children who live in these Safe Houses throughout Israel.
